Cfp: "After Kant: Beyond Idealism and Naturalism," Late German Philosophy Project, Institute of Philosophy, University of London, December 2-3, 2010.

The departure point of the conference is the attitude of some British and German philosophers of the period 1860-1950 towards idealism and naturalism—an attitude at once of contempt and dependence still found among some contemporary British and German philosophers. We invite submission of papers discussing this legacy. For example: How successfully did British and German philosophers of the period challenge idealist and naturalist interpretations of Kant’s critical philosophy? Papers, prepared for a 40-minutes presentation, to be followed by a 10-minutes discussion, should be sent to afterkant@inbox.com.
