Cfp: Inaugural Meeting, Interdisciplinary Coalition of North American Phenomenologists, Ramapo College of New Jersey, May 8-9, 2009.

Interdisciplinary research is more called for than done (doing it well is not easy), but building connections with colleagues in other disciplines can lead beyond talking the talk to walking the walk. In addition, colleagues in many fields increasingly report conference organizers telling them that more worthy phenomenological papers are submitted than can be accepted. Thus, there is need for a new organization. Finally, while there are regional phenomenological organizations for Central and Eastern Europe, East Asia, the Euro-Mediterranean region, and Latin America, there is not one yet for North America. Hence, the effort is being made to found ICNAP. Further information may be found here: http://www.icnap.org.
